Sydney Football Stadium build reaches 80% milestone

The build of the new Sydney Football Stadium has reached the 80% mark, with the final pieces of roof steel being lifted into place.

As the new Sydney Football Stadium powers towards the finish line, the NSW Government and delivery partner John Holland, are providing a major boost to the local economy with $480 million worth of contracts awarded to NSW based businesses.

Among the NSW businesses to benefit are the companies manufacturing the steel for the roof, growing the turf and laying around 25 kilometres of electrical cable, the equivalent in distance from Moore Park to Bankstown.
